Bernice Lee is Of Counsel with Kozyak, Tropin & Throckmorton, and concentrates her practice in bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and commercial matters.  She has broad experience handing complex legal issues arising within business reorganizations, debtor-in-possession financing, bankruptcy sales, bankruptcy appeals, fraudulent and preference transfer actions, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and litigation arising in bankruptcy and commercial matters.  

Prior to entering private practice, Bernice served as law clerk to a United States Bankruptcy Court Judge for the Southern District of Florida and as a judicial intern to a United States District Judge in the District of Massachusetts. Bernice has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in 2019, and as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2015-2018.  She has been the president and a director of the Asian-Pacific American Bar Association of South Florida.  She was also a member of the 2016 NextGeneration Class of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges and Class IV of the Florida Bar, Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy.
