This is a multi-faceted position which provides key support to office staff and management. The main focus is on supporting Sales and Marketing. In the downtime, assistance may be needed in other departments such as Accounting, Human Resources, Operations and Quality Assurance. As a small business there is opportunity for involvement and learning in various areas. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

General Administrative:
- Manages daily administrative tasks, such as phone calls, e-mails, faxes, filing and organizing paperwork
- Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone and directing and announcing them appropriately
- Maintains security by monitoring visitor sign-in
- Receives deliveries

Sales and Marketing:
- Supports Sales and Marketing team as needed
- Assists the Sales and Marketing Team in the processing of all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness (includes creating invoices and shipping slips, working with inventory, printing paperwork…)
- Schedules delivery appointments
- Works with Sales and Marketing team to meet or exceed sales goals
- Suggests ways to grow sales and explore new opportunities
- Assists the Sales and Marketing team in the preparation of advertising and promotional materials, photos and videos: Sell Sheets, New Product Sheets, ads, brochures and other materials
- Creates and sends newsletters (upon approval)
- Brainstorms and develops ideas for creative marketing campaigns 
- Maintains mailing lists 
- Assists in the preparation of sales presentations and updates 
- Assists in the preparation of all trade show and events identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments

Other Departments:

- Follows up with orders from vendors
- Sources an item needed, receives price quotes and compares them
- Updates records
- Follows up on account payment status if past due or short paid
